Ease of use/navigation
Fast download time
Regularly updated information
Quality of content
What serious users don't like are:
Confusing or complex sites
Waiting a long time for a site to load
Animated graphics
'Fun' items
For this reason we avoid
Unnecessary graphics such as animated pictures
Video-clips
Multi-coloured text and background
Plug-ins, which not everybody has
Any other feature which can take time to load and
which may obscure your message
We recommend using mainly black or dark text on a white or pastel background for ease of legibility
